About The Position

Vibra Hospital of Northern California is seeking a Wound Care Licensed Vocational Nurse to join their team. This is a PRN position. Vibra Hospital of Northern California, located in Redding, CA, is a 50 bed Critical Care Hospital and a 32 bed SNF providing long-term acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you really get to know your patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Current, valid and active license to practice as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse in the state of employment required.
  • Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor required.
  • One (1) year experience in wound care required.
  • Ability to identify and implement components of the nursing process.
  • Identify learning needs and teach patients and families.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with a variety of teams and individuals.
  • Ability to project a professional image.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.
  • Strong organizational, prioritizing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
  • Working knowledge of personal computer and software applications used in job functions (Word processing, graphics, databases, spreadsheets, etc.).
  • Freedom from illegal use of and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Wound Care preferred within 6 months of hire.
  • Previous experience working in wound care or demonstrated interest and aptitude in wound care skills preferred.
