About The Position
About Rehab and Nursing Center-Leffingwell The Rehab and Nursing Center – Leffingwell was designed with healing in mind. The center offers 80 private rooms with beautiful nature views. Our expert team of nurses and therapists use the latest technology and techniques to maximize independence and mobility to help prepare patients to return home. As a Rehabilitation Nurse, you will provide comprehensive care to patients recovering from serious injuries, surgeries, or illnesses. Your role is crucial in helping patients regain their independence, improve their quality of life, and return safely to the community. Scope of Work Assesses, monitors, detects, plans and takes appropriate action to prevent potential physiological complications associated with wound, ostomy or continence. Provides information and instruction to patients and their caregivers. Collaborates with and serves as a resource for other health professionals to promote delivery of quality services and patient education within the institution as well as the community. Participates in projects related to area of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing and developing and evaluating educational materials and programs and policies.
Requirements
- Associates in Nursing
- 1 year of relevant clinical nursing experience
- RN in state of Michigan
- BLS by AHA or ARC within 90 days
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous wound care experience or training
- CWON by WOCNCB within 1 year
