About The Position

The worship sound and production director provides leadership for the church's sound, livestream, and production ministries by helping curate the worship environment and equipping a thriving team of volunteers. This position is responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, and developing volunteers who serve in audio, video, and livestream production.

Responsibilities

  • Teach or communicate Scripture and church doctrine.
  • Lead worship, prayer, services, or religious ceremonies.
  • Provide discipleship, pastoral care, or spiritual guidance.
  • Recruit, train, and spiritually develop ministry volunteers.
  • Exercise theological judgment in ministry planning.
  • Represent the church as a spiritual leader.
  • Model and uphold the church’s beliefs and conduct standards.
  • Remain accountable to pastoral leadership for doctrine and ministry practices.
  • Be evaluated on spiritual leadership, doctrinal faithfulness, and ministry practices.
  • Recruit and onboard new production volunteers.
  • Develop, train, and mentor volunteers.
  • Create Volunteer Schedule.
  • Identify and develop volunteer leaders.
  • Create clear and concise training manuals and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop systems that make it easy for new volunteers to learn and succeed.
  • Oversee Front of House (FOH) and livestream audio for all weekend services.
  • Ensure audio is balanced, clear, and consistent for both the in-person congregation and online audience.
  • Train and coach volunteers to mix confidently and consistently.
  • Evaluate each service and implement continual improvements to audio quality.
  • Oversee all aspects of the church livestream production.
  • Direct camera operations and video switching during services.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues before, during, and after services to minimize distractions and downtime.
  • Maintain a consistent online worship experience.
  • Help create a model of organization for all audio, video, and livestream equipment.
  • Recommend equipment upgrades and repairs when necessary.
  • Ensure the production area remains clean, organized, and service ready.
  • Select and adjust lighting scenes that best support each worship service.
  • Work with the Worship Pastor to ensure lighting enhances the worship environment without becoming distracting.
  • Collaborate with pastors, worship leaders, and ministry staff to support weekly services and special events.
  • Help create volunteers teams for special events and services.
  • Plan and prepare worship sets with worship pastor.
  • Alternating serving on Sundays as worship leader with Worship Pastor.
  • Mentor and develop worship team members as opportunities arrive.
  • Assist in training and equip worship team members on community worship nights.
