About The Position

As Worldwide Portfolio Product Marketing Manager, you will own the commercial success, lifecycle strategy, and market performance of HP PageWide Industrial's active product portfolio. You will serve as the global business owner for assigned products, balancing growth, profitability, customer satisfaction, and competitive positioning. You will work closely with Regional Products & Solutions, Category, Sales, Services, Operations, Supply Chain, and R&D to keep current products competitive, effectively positioned, and aligned with customer and market needs. You will lead portfolio planning, lifecycle management, roadmap execution, market readiness, customer engagement, and cross-functional decisions that improve performance throughout the product lifecycle. The role requires strong product management discipline, commercial acumen, customer focus, and the ability to influence global stakeholders. The successful candidate combines strategic thinking with operational execution and is comfortable leading ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives across the installed base and active portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in product management, product marketing, business management, or related commercial leadership roles.
  • Experience managing product portfolios, lifecycle strategies, or business performance in a global environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with customers, sales organizations, and cross-functional product development teams.
  • Experience developing product positioning, value propositions, and customer-facing messaging.
  • Strong product and portfolio management expertise.
  • Proven ability to manage products throughout the lifecycle, from launch through end-of-life.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including forecasting, pricing, profitability analysis, and business case development.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority across a global organization.
  • Strong market analysis, customer insight, and competitive intelligence capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Own worldwide business performance for assigned products throughout the active lifecycle.
  • Develop lifecycle strategies for introductions, portfolio optimization, upgrades, transitions, and end-of-life/end-of-support planning.
  • Monitor product health, business performance, customer adoption, and market dynamics to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Drive portfolio actions that improve profitability, customer value, and competitive position.
  • Ensure alignment between product strategy, lifecycle plans, regional requirements, and business objectives.
  • Gather and synthesize customer, regional, partner, and competitive insights to guide portfolio decisions.
  • Lead Voice of Customer (VOC) activities to identify current customer needs, market gaps, enhancement opportunities, and experience improvements.
  • Translate customer and market feedback into prioritized product enhancements, roadmap recommendations, and business actions.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, workflow requirements, applications, and evolving customer business needs.
  • Develop business cases and recommendations for portfolio investments, upgrades, feature enhancements, and commercial initiatives.
  • Track and analyze product performance metrics including placements, usage, profitability, customer satisfaction, and market share indicators.
  • Partner with finance and business teams on forecasting, pricing recommendations, profitability improvements, and business planning activities.
  • Support annual planning, portfolio reviews, and strategic decision-making processes.
  • Serve as the worldwide business lead for assigned products in collaboration with regional teams.
  • Align categories, sales regions, channel partners, and services organizations on priorities and customer opportunities.
  • Enable regional teams through positioning, messaging, competitive guidance, product updates, and customer-facing materials.
  • Lead regular portfolio reviews and current product business forums to ensure global alignment and execution.
  • Lead initiatives involving R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Services, Finance, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Drive prioritization and resolution of product-related business issues impacting customers, regions, or revenue performance.
  • Influence roadmap priorities and engineering investments based on customer needs, business impact, and competitive requirements.
  • Coordinate launch readiness and operational execution for product enhancements, upgrades, and market releases.
  • Monitor competitor products, strategies, pricing, and market activities.
  • Develop competitive positioning and differentiation strategies that support business growth and sales effectiveness.
  • Represent HP at customer engagements, industry events, analyst interactions, and executive briefings.
  • Communicate complex technical and business concepts clearly to executive stakeholders, customers, and partners.
