About The Position

The World Language Teacher (Spanish) at Paterson P-Tech will be responsible for teaching a foreign language, demonstrating knowledge of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, and classroom management. The role also involves utilizing assessment and data analysis for instructional purposes, communicating effectively with various stakeholders, and employing technology to enhance learning. This position requires a highly motivated and result-driven educator.

Requirements

  • Hold a New Jersey Teacher of World Language Certificate (Spanish)
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of teaching a foreign language
  • Knowledge of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, and classroom management
  • Knowledge of assessment and data analysis for instructional purposes
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and in another language, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the community
  • Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community
  • Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, digital technology to augment authentic learning, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications
  • Must be computer literate
  • Highly motivated result-driven educator
  • Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
