About The Position

This position is for a World Language Teacher specializing in Spanish, with assignments split between School #26 (.5) and MLK (.5). The role requires a candidate who can effectively teach a foreign language, understand child development and effective instructional strategies, and utilize assessment data. Strong communication skills in English and Spanish, along with computer literacy and a motivated, results-driven approach, are essential. The position is pending budget availability and is open for ten days or until filled.

Requirements

• Hold a New Jersey Teacher of World Language Certificate (Spanish) or Elementary K–6 Certification
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of teaching a foreign language
• Knowledge of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, and classroom management
• Knowledge of assessment and data analysis for instructional purposes
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and in another language, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the community
• Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community
• Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, digital technology to augment authentic learning, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications
• Must be computer literate
• Highly motivated result-driven educator
• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
