World Language Coordinator & AP Spanish Teacher (K-12)

Collegiate Charter School of Lowell•Lowell, MA
•Onsite

About The Position

Collegiate Charter School of Lowell (CCSL) is a K-12 Commonwealth Charter School serving about 1,200 students in one of Massachusetts' most linguistically rich cities. Roughly 40% of our students are English Learners, and our hallways carry Spanish, Khmer, Portuguese, Arabic, and many more languages. We see those languages as an academic asset, and we are looking for a leader who agrees. We are seeking a K-12 World Language Coordinator who will lead our program across all three of our schools (K-4, 5-8, and 9-12) and teach one section of AP Spanish each day. This is a rare chance to shape a program's vision, not just maintain it. The vision is to deepen Spanish instruction from kindergarten through AP, with a clear, coherent proficiency pathway; expand students' exposure to additional world languages through exploratory courses, clubs, and cultural programming; honor and build on heritage languages, including pathways toward the Massachusetts Seal of Biliteracy; and turn our diversity into academic enrichment that every student, family, and staff member experiences.
