About The Position

The CIE is seeking a passionate and organized individual to join our team and contribute to the growth of our entrepreneurship programs. As a Work Study student, you will collaborate closely with our Graduate Assistant and professional staff, playing a vital role in engaging students and promoting entrepreneurship across campus. This is an exciting opportunity to gain real-world experience in marketing, social media, and event management, while working alongside entrepreneurs and campus leaders.

Requirements

  • Federal Work Study eligibility is required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, with a creative mindset and an interest in marketing, branding, or entrepreneurship.
  • Comfortability in creating content for various social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok, is a must.
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are key attributes.
  • A willingness to attend evening events and a flexible schedule are necessary for this role.
  • A passion for entrepreneurship, a desire to learn, and a proactive attitude will set you apart.
  • A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work are essential.
  • A desire to build a professional network and contribute to the growth of the University of Tulsa's entrepreneurial community.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with design and video editing platforms, such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or CapCut, is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Previous experience in marketing, social media management, or event planning is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging digital marketing content, including graphics, videos, and reels, for CIE and Jolt.
  • Manage and schedule social media content for CIE and Jolt accounts, ensuring a consistent online presence.
  • Promote programs, events, and competitions through creative marketing campaigns, capturing photos and videos for future use.
  • Attend and actively participate in CIE events, such as Jolt programming, competitions, speaker events, and other entrepreneurship activities.
  • Support event planning and execution, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees and participants.
  • Increase student engagement by developing innovative strategies to connect with students and raise awareness of CIE and Jolt.
  • Collaborate with the Graduate Assistant on marketing initiatives and special projects, bringing fresh ideas to the table.
  • Assist with communications and administrative tasks as needed, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Attend occasional evening events throughout the semester, representing CIE and engaging with the entrepreneurial community.
