About The Position

As a WorkSource Care Manager at ACE, you'll be a trusted guide for participants working to overcome barriers to employment, coordinating everything from intake and eligibility assessments to service plans, job readiness workshops, and supportive service funding. You'll build relationships with participants, employers, and community partners to create real pathways to stable work and long-term economic security. This role suits someone compassionate and resourceful, comfortable managing detailed casework and deadlines while staying flexible and creative in the face of each participant's unique challenges. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and genuine motivation to help people build stability through employment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of accurate record-keeping standards, including timely charting, proper notation, and confidentiality practices.
• General proficiency in navigating and using technology.
• Operates as a reliable, flexible team player with minimal supervision; demonstrates creativity, initiative, adaptability, accountability, and openness to feedback.
• AA or higher degree in relevant field and 1 years of experience in career advisement and development, case management, customer service, or similar role assisting individuals; or Equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Possess a current California Driver’s License, clean DMV record & adequate auto insurance on a reliable vehicle available to use for work purposes.
• Must submit to a Department of Justice Criminal background check.
• Initial TB employment clearance required.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish, Farsi, Armenian, or Russian language skills, verbal and written preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach and support recruitment strategies, including outreach to referrals who fail to attend appointments.
• Conduct intake, eligibility determinations, and participant assessments.
• Complete, update, and ensure completion of service plans according to contract deadlines.
• Meet with participants to identify barriers to employment and develop strategies to manage these issues, including appropriate referrals.
• Maintain complete, accurate and timely case notes and related records in manual and electronic systems.
• Support participants in securing employment and post-secondary education placements; track placements and develop solutions to maintain stability.
• Work with participants to process supportive service funding, track purchases, and document receipts.
• Provide basic financial coaching during programming and post-employment.
• Provide one-on-one assistance and/or facilitate skills-based workshops on job readiness (resume building, mock interviews, communication skills, career pathways).
• Coordinate and attend service and team meetings, facilitating wrap-around services with other providers.
• Coordination of introductory workshops.
• Work collaboratively with the business services team to identify which jobs are available, what qualifications are needed, and which workshops and training can best prepare jobseekers for these positions.
• Assist and collaborate with WorkSource program leadership in developing and maintaining employer and resource networks; maintain and distribute updated local job listings.
• Assist with writing program reports, participant success stories, and other content as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
