About The Position

Medcor is seeking a full-time EMT, Paramedic, or LVN/LPN for a short-term assignment as an Onsite Health Technician in an employer-based, occupational health clinic located in East Hanover, NJ. The clinic is situated within a modern, global pharmaceutical facility and focuses on occupational health and acute/episodic care. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM EST. Upon completion of the assignment, there is an opportunity to transition into a permanent PRN (as needed) role. The Worksite Health Technician will provide primary clinical care in an occupational and urgent care setting, supervise allied healthcare staff, and collaborate with Medcor's medical and operational leadership, support teams, and client contacts.

Requirements

  • Valid licensure for the position (EMT, Paramedic, or LVN/LPN)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong computer and technology skills (navigating cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc.)
  • Familiarity with EMR software
  • Ability to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily operations at Medcor’s on-site clinic
  • Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s client and employees
  • Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols (Medcor Care Protocols - MCPs)
  • Build and maintain internal team relationships
  • Support for onsite employee health and wellness efforts
  • Pre-employment and post-offer screenings
  • Documentation of care using state-of-the-art EMR and other tools
  • Physical Assessment Testing (PATs)
  • Case Management
