About The Position

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Workshop Coordinator to join their team in Lively, ON. This multi-functional role involves ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the office area and equipment bays. The Workshop Coordinator will manage work processes, coordinate with vendors, maintain equipment schedules, and support administrative and maintenance tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience in workshop or operations coordination.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams and vendors.
Computer literacy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and seek advice when faced with situations outside your knowledge or authority.
Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in an industrial or workshop environment.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual in English & French is considered an asset.
Experience in inventory management and equipment scheduling.
Previous experience working in an industrial or technical environment.
Previous experience working with Maximo, Aurora, SAP.

Responsibilities

Prioritize safety in all job plans and activities.
Manage work schedules, Work in Progress (WIP), and timely job completion.
Coordinate with vendors for services like welding, fabrication, and inspections.
Source and order parts; maintain inventory and shipping/receiving records.
Ensure compliance with inspection schedules for Sandvik equipment.
Communicate work plans to technicians and oversee job prioritization.
Assist with facility maintenance, office supplies, and administrative duties.
Participate in toolbox talks, shift start meetings, and workplace inspections.
Provide updates to key stakeholders and manage critical situations.
Support facility and equipment inspections, Capex requests, and work order feedback.
Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
