About The Position

Orchard is looking for a Workplace Experience Associate to manage the day-to-day operations of their offices and support HR programs and processes across the company. This role involves working closely with the HR team on tasks such as onboarding, offboarding, employee experience, HRIS management, planning team events, and office administration. The ideal candidate will gain broad exposure to various disciplines within HR and should be able to move quickly in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, hybrid role, requiring 2 days in-office, based in Austin, TX, and reports to the Manager, People Operations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of previous HR, administrative, or workplace operations experience
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and a customer service mindset.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills and follow-through even in sometimes ambiguous situations.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to find elegant solutions before they become major issues.
  • Excited and eager about working in HR, gaining hands-on experience, and a passion for employee experience and engagement.
  • Strong teamwork & stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and relationships across a broad set of individuals and teams
  • Superior judgement, including discretion around confidential and sensitive information

Responsibilities

  • Create an inclusive and engaging employee experience for the Austin team, including supporting daily office operations, managing employee-facing events and programs, and coordinating with IT, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure the office is running smoothly
  • Coordinate seamless new hire onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring every employee starts and finishes their journey on a great note.
  • Work closely with the rest of the HR team to support projects and day-to-day tasks related to the employee lifecycle. Some examples include administering promotions and transfers, completing employment verifications, and maintaining employee data in our HRIS and other systems
  • Partner with managers and HR team members to address employee questions, escalate issues as needed, and keep HR workflows moving
  • Plan and execute employee-facing events and programs to create an engaging and inclusive employee experience
