About The Position

Menemsha is seeking a talented Working Site Superintendent to join their Construction Division. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment focused on teamwork and client satisfaction. The candidate will represent the company professionally in the field, perform construction trade work, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects remain on schedule. The position requires a willingness to travel for extended periods, up to six weeks at a time or more.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years multi-trade experience.
  • Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Excellent computer skills, experience with standard software packages, including e-mail.
  • Experience with job scheduling.
  • Ability to read and clearly understand blueprints and construction intent.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Experience with any interior Tenant improvement metal stud framing, drywall, t-bar, carpet, tile, wood flooring, or painting skilled trade work.
  • Experience with concrete, Masonry, rough and finish carpentry trade work.
  • Use of basic hand tools.
  • Read construction plan/blueprints.
  • Have experience using hand and power tools.
  • Must own reliable transportation.
  • Work effectively on a team.
  • Perform general labor as assigned.
  • Take direction from supervisor.

Nice To Haves

  • Retail construction industry experience, notably concerning commercial tenant improvement build-outs and remodels.

Responsibilities

  • On-site management of commercial/retail tenant improvement projects, ensuring timeliness and quality.
  • Stay on schedule, keep subcontractors on task, and monitor quality control.
  • Take action to overcome project delays, bad weather, or other unforeseen conditions.
  • Accomplish project results by establishing standards and protocols, scheduling and coordinating subcontractors, and driving the schedule.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
  • Keep job sites clean and ensure proper signage is always posted.
  • Client interface: maintain a professional appearance and communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
  • Prevent fines and interruptions by complying with and enforcing codes.
  • Work with Project Manager and General Site Superintendent to obtain client approval on any field change orders.
  • Communicate project status daily to Project Manager/General Site Superintendent and escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Post daily updates on the online project management (OPM) website.
  • Manage job close-out: attend punch walk-throughs with clients and ensure the site is delivered 100% complete and to clients' satisfaction.
  • Attend job walks/site visits for potential new projects as needed.
  • Manage up to 5 subcontractors and trade crews.
  • Travel up to 6 weeks at a time.
  • Unload, assemble, and install fixtures, millwork/casework, and shelving packages.
  • Perform skilled trade work including interior Tenant improvement metal stud framing, drywall, t-bar, carpet, tile, wood flooring, or painting.
  • Perform skilled trade work with concrete, Masonry, rough and finish carpentry.
  • Use of basic hand tools.
  • Read construction plans/blueprints.
