Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Human Resources, or a related area, or equivalent professional experience
  • Demonstrated time spent in a scheduling, workforce management, or operations supervisory role
  • Capability with scheduling software and workforce management systems, for instance Kronos, UKG, When I Work, or similar tools
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to operate well with people at every tier of the business
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving talent, with a knack for drawing meaning from data and deciding accordingly
  • A dependable record of handling competing demands and performing strongly in a high-tempo environment
  • Thorough attention to detail and a steady commitment to accuracy when keeping records and producing reports
  • Capable use of the Microsoft Office Suite, with Excel applied to data analysis and reporting

Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on attendance tracking, time-off requests, and shift changes, recording each one precisely in the scheduling platform
  • Stand as the first point of reference for scheduling matters raised by employees and management alike
  • Create, administer, and keep refining scheduling systems and processes to keep them fit for operational purpose
  • Study workforce figures, forecast what scheduling will require, and head off gaps or conflicts before they surface
  • Set up and maintain staff schedules across a range of departments or sites, holding coverage steady at every hour
  • Collaborate closely with department leaders so that scheduling supports production goals, service levels, and company priorities
  • Guide and develop the scheduling team, supplying direction, training, and regular performance feedback
  • Identify ways to streamline the process and roll out improvements that boost scheduling efficiency
  • Prepare scheduling reports and present the findings and recommendations to senior management
  • Uphold compliance with the relevant employment laws, company policies, and any collective bargaining agreements in force
