The Workforce Navigator, working within the RISE Re-Entry Department, is primarily a field-based position responsible for conducting street outreach, engagement, and workforce navigation services for individuals experiencing homelessness and those who are justice-impacted, including individuals preparing for release from incarceration or recently returning to the community. The Workforce Navigator provides employment readiness services, career coaching, education, advocacy, and navigation to individuals seeking meaningful employment, vocational training, educational opportunities, and economic stability. Utilizing a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach, the position engages hard-to-reach populations in encampments, shelters, correctional facilities, and community settings, helping participants overcome barriers to employment and connect to workforce development programs, reentry-friendly employers, legal services, educational institutions, and other resources that support self-sufficiency and successful community reintegration. The Workforce Navigator collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure participants are linked to healthcare, behavioral health treatment, housing, benefits, and supportive services that promote overall wellness, stability, and long-term success.
