About The Position

This position will work under the Nursing Director to deliver instruction to all nursing assistant students in compliance with all university and the Office of Long-Term Care policies and requirements. Instructor duties, inclusive of teaching and evaluating student learning in the classroom and clinical settings, record-keeping, skill check-offs, and enforcement of program expectations are required. Instructors are expected to contribute to the mission of the university through quality performance of all assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Applicant must meet qualifications from the Office of Long-Term Care to serve as an instructor in the Nursing Assistant program.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience as a licensed practical nurse.
  • One year of long-term or acute care experience within the last 5 years.
  • Nursing license must be in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
  • Candidate must complete employment eligibility and other screenings, as required by the university.
  • Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
