About The Position

This is an On-The-Job (OJT) position for an enrolled high school student. The trainee will work under the direct supervision and guidance of assigned staff to gain practical, hands-on work experience. The program is designed to teach the duties, responsibilities, and expectations of a professional work environment. Participants will engage in structured on-the-job training to develop foundational workplace skills, understand organizational operations, and prepare for future employment. Work is performed under close supervision and progress is reviewed regularly. Employment screenings will be conducted in compliance with applicable federal and Florida Laws.

Requirements

Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age at the time of appointment.
Must be an enrolled high school student.

Responsibilities

Participates in on-the-job training under the guidance of assigned staff.
Assists with routine tasks and assignments while learning established work processes and procedures.
Learns and follows organizational policies, procedures, and safety practices.
Attends scheduled training sessions, meetings, and orientation activities as assigned.
Maintains regular attendance and punctuality.
Demonstrates professionalism, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.
Completes assigned tasks accurately and within established timeframes.
Communicates effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and the public as appropriate.
Maintains confidentiality of information in accordance with applicable policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned, including participation in emergency or disaster response activities, as required and consistent with the trainee's qualifications, essential job functions, and applicable federal and Florida law.
