The Workforce Development Specialist supports employee learning and development throughout the career lifecycle, from new-hire onboarding and continuing education to professional development, succession planning, and retirement preparation. This position coordinates new-hire academies, develops training materials, monitors required training and certifications, and evaluates workforce-readiness data. The Specialist works closely with the Assistant Operations Manager, supervisors, managers, instructors, and subject matter experts to ensure training programs align with agency goals, industry standards, and adult learning principles. This position also supports emergency communications operations by providing floor coverage as assigned.
