About The Position

The Workforce Development Manager (Outreach) builds and cultivates effective collaborations with existing and potential corporate employers and organizations to provide mutually beneficial job opportunities for clients within the department. The position supports programs that provide individualized job-searching services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services or other related.
  • Two years of experience working with social service agencies working on community engagement and partnership development initiatives.
  • Experience working with the foreign-born population.
  • Driving is required. Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate, manage and nurture employer partnerships with diverse businesses and organizations to include educational institutions and government entities for workforce development programs within the department.
  • Develop and implement systems and processes to maintain and enhance current employer relationships.
  • Monitor and assess the success of employer relationships.
  • Create a database of employers for the different programs and their clients.
  • Create opportunities and mechanisms for engaging with new employers.
  • Develop ways to recognize employers and their work with Catholic Charities.
  • Ensure prompt and regular communication in support of overall program goals and objectives.
  • Report out monthly benchmarks and outputs established by the Director of Employment and Social Services Department Directors.
  • Confer with the manager(s) regularly to assess the job development and placement status of the clients and their needs.
  • Support supervisor with the development of goals, outcomes and objectives to ensure outcomes are met.
  • Represent Catholic Charities at job fairs and other venues where employers and potential employer partners may congregate.
  • Expand program awareness and resources through speaking engagements and by attending community and government meetings and other networking events.
  • Support programs within the department in their engagement with Employers – detailing best practices to maintain and cultivate positive relationships and engagement.
  • Collaborate with other employment-related agency programs on workforce development activities.
  • Participate in team meetings as may be required.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
