About The Position

The Workforce Development & Case Management Coordinator provides direct workforce navigation, participant case management, barrier removal coordination, and employment readiness services for individuals participating in Tribal workforce development programs. This position serves as a primary point of contact for participants transitioning into employment, training, work experience, or career pathway opportunities. The Coordinator supports Prime Age Employment Gap (PAEG) participants through individualized service planning, workforce coaching, supportive service coordination, and referrals to training and employment resources. The position aligns with RECOMPETE workforce navigation, workforce training, and person-centered support activities designed to reduce barriers to employment and improve workforce participation outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, human services, education, workforce development, planning, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in workforce development, grant management, project management, economic development, or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
  • Must be able to comply with the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe’s Drug-Free Workplace policies and personnel policies.

  • Experience coordinating programs serving diverse or underserved populations.
  • Familiar with employment practices such as job developing, job carving and job coaching.
  • Experience working with Tribal governments or Tribal communities.
  • Experience managing federal or state grants.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Familiarity with WIOA, Vocational Rehabilitation, apprenticeship, supportive services, or RECOMPETE-related programming.
  • Experience developing employer partnerships and training initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct participant intake, eligibility review, and enrollment activities
  • Develop Individual Employment Plans (IEPs) with participants
  • Provide ongoing case management and workforce coaching
  • Conduct regular participant check-ins and follow-up meetings
  • Assist participants with career exploration and pathway planning
  • Coordinate referrals to training, education, and supportive services
  • Maintain accurate case files and participant documentation
  • Identify barriers preventing participation in training or employment
  • Coordinate supportive services, including transportation, childcare, tools, work clothing, technology, and training-related assistance
  • Assist participants in accessing community and partner resources
  • Support participants through re-engagement and retention strategies
  • Document all supportive services and case activities
  • Coordinate job readiness workshops and workforce preparation activities
  • Assist participants with resumes, applications, interview preparation, and workplace expectations
  • Support digital literacy and life skills programming
  • Coordinate work experience (WEX) placements and participant scheduling
  • Support employer engagement and hiring events
  • Coordinate with Tribal departments, WorkSource, Vocational Rehabilitation, TANF, WIOA, educational institutions, and partner organizations
  • Participate in workforce coordination meetings and community outreach activities
  • Maintain updated resource inventories and referral pathways
  • Maintain participant records in compliance with grant requirements
  • Track outcomes, participation, and supportive service utilization
  • Assist with grant reporting and data collection activities
  • Ensure confidentiality and proper documentation standards
  • Other duties as assigned
