Sedgwick is seeking a Workforce Absence Team Lead to supervise the operations of multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for disability claims. This role involves monitoring workloads, providing training, overseeing individual claim activities, and offering technical/jurisdictional direction on claims adjudication. The Team Lead will also maintain diaries on claims, including complex or high-exposure ones, and ensure compliance with audit requirements and quality standards. Additionally, the role acts as a second level of appeal for client and claimant issues, reviews reserve amounts on high-cost claims, and maintains contact with clients to promote professional relationships. The position also ensures direct reports are properly licensed and that claims files are coded correctly with adequate documentation.
