About The Position

As the Workflow Coordinator (Internally known as, Production Planner), you will be a part of the Continuous Improvement team and serve as mission control for our daily outbound activities. You will be in charge of forecasting our daily dispatches, creating an execution plan, and making sure we have people in the right areas. Much of your day will be spent in the heart of our operation at the human machine interface (HMI) where you will be able to monitor our conveyance and goods-to-person picking systems and alert operation leaders of potential issues and assist in clearing jams driving a WAV vehicle. You will continuously assess operations progress to the plan and coordinate with managers and supervisors throughout the day to ensure we uphold our same day shipping promise. You will provide feedback to DC leaders on the days operations and highlight areas of opportunity.

Requirements

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and can quickly navigate through change
  • Experience in scheduling, forecasting or production planning
  • Solid understanding of distribution operations
  • Great communication skills, in particular, over the phone/radio
  • Well-versed in Excel
  • Ability to interpret and make decisions from data quickly
  • Willing to learn how to drive small manlift
  • Work Monday – Friday 10:30am-7:00pm, and able to work Saturdays when needed
  • Ability to move around for long periods of time and consistently lift up to 30lbs unassisted

Responsibilities

  • Forecast daily production rates
  • Plan daily labor requirements to meet forecast
  • Monitor and evaluate actual to plan rates
  • Coordinate with DC leadership on work assignment changes throughout the day
  • Release outbound work to team to ensure SLAs are met
  • Monitor DC automation systems and alert and/or troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Assess daily operations and provide feedback to leadership
  • Communicate with external and internal support groups on system issues
