About The Position

The Workflow Automation Specialist is responsible for supporting workflow-related information technology (IT) initiatives, including systems analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of workflow solutions. This role exercises discretion and independent judgment while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient workflow systems that align with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant IT or workflow automation experience, or a combination of education and directly related experience
  • Experience in workflow systems analysis, design, and development
  • Proficiency in programming languages, frameworks, and tools used in enterprise application development
  • Experience documenting requirements, developing process diagrams, and communicating technical concepts
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of IT policies, cybersecurity, and data privacy standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience with workflow automation tools and platforms
  • Experience with requirements gathering and documentation
  • Experience with process analysis and optimization
  • Experience with software testing, deployment, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with enterprise application development environments
  • Experience with collaboration with stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams
  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Experience building complex workflow automation solutions with Microsoft Power Apps (Power Apps & Automate), Aconex, Kahua, or similar platforms. (REQUIRED)
  • Experience building both Model-driven and Canvas apps in Power Apps. (REQUIRED)
  • Experience building workflow and automation solutions in Power Automate. (REQUIRED)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects
  • Experience developing workflows for large or complex projects
  • Familiarity with enterprise-level workflow systems and tools
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to process improvements and innovation initiatives
  • Working knowledge of data modeling and architecture with Microsoft SQL or Dataverse. (PREFERRED)
  • Working knowledge of data pipeline tools (for example: Microsoft SSIS). (PREFERRED)
  • Working knowledge of program management and issue tracking platforms (Azure DevOps or Jira) in support of Agile methodologies. (PREFERRED)
  • Full lifecycle software development experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) languages. Prefer C# and JavaScript experience. (PREFERRED)

Responsibilities

  • Performs technical and analytical assignments in support of workflow automation and enterprise application development.
  • Assesses workflow requests, documents requirements, and develops accurate process diagrams.
  • Collaborates closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into functional workflow solutions.
  • Supports the development, configuration, enhancement, and maintenance of business workflows using established change management processes.
  • Participates in software development lifecycle activities, including design, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of workflow applications.
  • Contributes to coding, supports enterprise-level application development, and participates in cross-functional discussions to identify issues, evaluate process impacts, and develop optimized solutions.
  • Maintains technical documentation including coding standards, workflows, and user manuals, while ensuring solutions meet end-user requirements and organizational standards.
  • Collaborates with IT teams, application owners, vendors, and project stakeholders to support system upgrades, installations, and enhancements.
  • Monitors project progress, communicates updates, and escalates complex technical challenges when appropriate.
  • Supports compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity, and data privacy regulations while adhering to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process enhancements, recommending solutions, and staying current on industry trends and emerging technologies.
