About The Position

The Workface Planner & Turnover Coordinator will be responsible for the installation of multiple General Electric 7HA Simple Cycle power generating systems. This role is part of the Field Engineering team, reporting to the Area Project Field Engineer. The candidate will lead construction automation efforts for complex projects, utilizing database management, programming skills, and 3D tools. They will establish and administer the portfolio of construction automation applications on the jobsite and associated data requirements, reviewing performance and recommending adjustments to support strategy and compliance. This position is located in Pecos, Texas, on a long-term (Camp) assignment and is contingent upon project award.

Requirements

  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international Equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Possesses in-depth understanding of Advanced Work packaging concepts and terminology.
  • Possesses knowledge of and prior experience working with a variety of software tools and database applications- such as Primavera, Synchro4D, Navisworks, Model Builder, Book Builder, Teamworks, Setroute and Xfighter.
  • Previous experience in Engineering, Startup, Field Engineering or Project Controls is beneficial.
  • Coordinates across disciplines and functions both peer to peer and vertically to develop execution strategies.
  • Communicates execution plans and strategies to project and site management, stakeholders and customer personnel where appropriate.
  • Capable of summarizing large amounts of project data into clear and concise reports to interface with personnel of varying backgrounds and skill sets.
  • Ability to think “outside the box” to assist in resolving challenges and roadblocks.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains Level 4 IWP (Integrated Work Package) Schedule and Interdisciplinary Logics of IWPs with Project Controls function.
  • Maintains material Required on Site (ROS) Dates based on changes to Level 4 IWP Schedule.
  • Conducts inter-disciplinary 3D model reviews and develops 4D storyboards to refine the 90-day plan.
  • Manages Level 4 IWP schedule to Level 3 IWP Schedule alignment with Project Controls function.
  • Manages Level 4 IWP Schedule information across BSAP’s i.e. Primavera P6 and Teamworks.
  • Administers guidelines of how Discipline Workface planners will interact with the Level 4 IWP Schedule.
  • Identifies gaps in IWP planning and proactively seeks collaboration across project EPC organizations.
  • Assists with project process implementation and updates.
  • Onboards of area workface planners.
