About The Position

Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute is looking to hire a Workers Compensation Scheduler to join our team at the San Marco office. This is a full-time position located at 1325 San Marco Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207, and is an on-site role. The schedule is Monday through Friday. The Practice Manager is responsible for the administrative and daily operations of the clinic.

Requirements

  • Workers Compensation knowledge preferred.
  • Prior scheduling experience.
  • Prior customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service with a patient-care focus.
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively over the phone.
  • Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule San Marco Division work comp appointments and attorney IME’s in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Schedule appointments using GE Centricity and follow proper physician protocols to determine whom to schedule with.
  • Collect all information from the adjuster/case manager by completing an intake form.
  • Check voicemail and email daily and respond to all messages within 24 hours.
  • Scan required forms daily.
  • Clarify that all prepayments, records, and signed agreements are received at least 72 hours prior to appointments.
  • Answer calls promptly, in a polite and professional manner.
  • Obtain and enter accurate patient demographic information and insurance information.
  • Reschedule appointments when necessary.
  • Communicate necessary messages to staff.
  • Maintain the strictest patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.
  • Adhere to Company policies, procedures and processes.
  • Perform related work as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
