About The Position

Workers' compensation law firm seeking a highly-motivated, professional, reliable, loyal and fully bilingual (English/Spanish) paralegal with a minimum of 2 years experience working at a busy workers' compensation firm. This is a full time in office position.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of Workers’ Compensation experience at a busy law firm
• Fully bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Ability to handle heavy call volume with outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to set priorities and successfully manage any changes in priority
• Ability to work well with an assistant
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a variety of individuals
• Strong customer service skills and excellent telephone manner
• Supreme organizational skills
• Punctual
• Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced work environment
• Ability to multi-task and appropriately manage time and responsibilities
• Ability to maintain and coordinate numerous records and files

Responsibilities

• Heavy volume client communication
• Periodic file reviews
• Follow-up on carrier payments
• Evaluation of case status
• Follow-up on medical requests with doctor’s offices
• Coordinating medical care and determining status of client treatment
• Filing of fee applications
• Contact with claim’s adjusters
• Drafting of correspondence to all appropriate parties
• Explanation of detailed legal issues to clients
