We are currently seeking a full-time Workers’ Compensation Legal Assistant to join our team in our Jackson, MS office.
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of related work experience
- Professional, motivated, organized
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Typing/transcription skills required
Nice To Haves
- Prior law firm experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Review/Log incoming mail using ProLaw and its dockets, e-mail mail to attorney and paralegal
- Add Dockets/Tasks for Case Management Orders/Responsive Pleadings
- Transcribe pleadings, discovery, letters, client reports at attorney’s request
- Proof/format pleadings, letters, etc. prepared by attorneys
- Document conversions (PDF to Word)
