About The Position

Hawley Troxell is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Workers' Compensation Legal Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate should have 2 years of experience in the legal field and an understanding of workers compensation law. Successful applicants will be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume legal practice.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a legal administrative assistant role, preferably in workers compensation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software programs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Understanding of workers compensation law

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals in the workers compensation department
  • Manage and organize case files, including filing and retrieving documents
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for attorneys
  • Communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and medical providers
  • Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
  • Conduct legal research and compile information for cases
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists
