About The Position
Join MGC's Workers' Compensation Team in Alexandria, VA! MGC is an industry leading civil litigation firm celebrating 30 years of excellence in 2025 spanning 23 offices across 12 states. We are currently seeking an experienced attorney to join our Workers' Compensation team in Alexandria. Ideal candidates will have 5-7 years of practice experience in workers' compensation defense and a portable book of business. Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia and DC. Maryland also preferred. Requirements
- 5-7 years of practice experience in workers' compensation defense
- a portable book of business
- Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia and DC

Responsibilities
- Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations.
- Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks to paralegals as needed.
- Prepare discovery responses and manage document production.
- Attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports
- Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary
- Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants
