About The Position

The Workers’ Compensation Division Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational performance and strategic growth of a designated division within a workers’ compensation agency. This role bridges day-to-day management with long-term business development by leading offices and teams, ensuring that service delivery meets industry standards, enhancing operational efficiencies, and maintaining compliance with pre-determined regulatory requirements. The Division Manager serves as a critical link between its superiors and subordinate personnel, ensuring that policies, procedures, and performance goals are effectively implemented and maintained.

• Minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience within the workers’ compensation or related insurance / claims management sectors.
• Demonstrated familiarity with the operational, compliance, and customer service aspects unique to the workers’ compensation industry.
• Relevant industry certifications, such as the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) or specialized training in workers’ compensation management may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate day-to-day operations across assigned sections.

• Serve as the primary contact for key personnel, including claimants, employers, insurance carriers, and legal representatives.

• Represent the agency at industry events and meetings, enhancing its local presence and reputation.
• Ensure all operations meet established legal, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Implement robust measures to monitor and manage risk, improving compliance with both internal policies and external industry regulations.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management, highlighting operational, financial, and growth metrics.
• Use data-driven analysis to propose improvements and guide strategic decision-making.
