Waste Connections is currently seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Claims Specialist to become part of the Risk Department of the Corporate Headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas. Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years’ prior experience in Workers’ Compensation Claims Administration
- Strong investigative background necessary
Nice To Haves
- ARM (Associate in Risk Management), AIC (Associate in Claims) or other insurance related advanced designation is a plus.
- Liability claims experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Oversee claims management activities of the Third-Party Administration including investigations, reserve adequacy, settlement evaluations and claim resolution strategy
- Assist field locations in administration of workers compensation claims
- Perform a variety of risk management administrative functions including data collection, report generation and financial analysis
- Attend claim reviews and other claim related events
- Ability to handle complex litigated cases
- Strong investigative background necessary
- Coordinate claim activities with other company departments including Human Resources, Safety, Operations, Accounting and Legal
