About The Position

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner to join their team handling New Jersey claims. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity ideal for a professional with a strong background in workers’ compensation who is comfortable managing moderate to complex claims in a fast-paced environment. This person will have the ability to work remotely.

Requirements

• 3 – 5+ years of experience handling New Jersey Workers’ Compensation claims
• Prior experience with an Insurance Carrier or TPA required
• Active New Jersey Adjuster License preferred
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage and evaluate workers’ compensation claims from initial report through resolution
• Investigate claims, determine compensability, and establish appropriate reserves
• Negotiate settlements and authorize payments within delegated authority
• Ensure compliance with New Jersey workers’ compensation laws and internal guidelines
• Communicate effectively with injured workers, employers, medical providers, and legal counsel
• Maintain accurate and detailed claim documentation and provide regular status updates
• Coordinate with defense counsel and attend hearings, mediations, or depositions as needed
