About The Position

A Workers Comp Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing workers' compensation claims within an organization. They collaborate with the workers’ compensation Third-Party Administrators (TPA’s), insurance providers, medical professionals, and legal teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of claims, losses and return to work. Additionally, Workers Comp Analysts may develop strategies to minimize workplace injuries and provide recommendations for improving safety protocols. This role will manage the yearly OSHA Logs and BLS Surveys. Strong analytical skills, knowledge of workers' compensation laws, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role, and the associated financial impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 3-5 years of experience

Nice To Haves

  • Independent Adjustor License preferred.
  • Multi line liability experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and partners with all Third Party Administrators (TPA) and outside counsel on all workers’ compensation claims to properly value the claims and facilitate prompt settlement/closure of claims.
  • Reviews and provides guidance on the organization’s workers’ compensation procedures for effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provides guidance to Employee Services Support, Senior Leaders and Campus teams to provide service support and education on claims reporting and management.
  • Oversees and is accountable for implementing best practices and assists in process improvement initiatives.
  • Provides first line of contact with company teams and all outside parties on any workers’ compensation issues and/or matters.
  • Manages yearly OSHA 300 and 300A Logs and BLS Surveys; and report the data to these agencies as required.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities to leverage solutions to facilitate workers’ compensation business solutions.
  • Oversees the workers compensation provider selection.
  • Partners with various departments to help understand the operational impact.
  • Conducts quarterly claims reviews with all TPAs to thoroughly assess all files and their valuations.
  • Partners with Campus and Division teams to develop and ensure compliance with policies and procedures including return to work initiatives.
  • Conserves resources by adhering to financial stewardship using prudent judgment as it relates to workers comp analysis.
  • Visits campuses on an as needed basis to address any workers’ compensation and safety issues.
  • Other duties as assigned.
