The Workday Systems Analyst will work closely with senior team members, business partners, and external consultants to help define requirements, test system functionality, and support day-to-day system operations. This role provides hands-on experience with Workday configuration, testing, reporting, and end-user support while continuing to build functional and technical expertise. Note this is a temporary role expected for 12 months.

Requirements

  • Basic to intermediate experience supporting Workday or another HR/HCM system
  • Familiarity with Workday configuration, reporting, or security concepts is a plus
  • Strong curiosity about HR systems and business process improvement
  • Ability to learn new systems and concepts quickly
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • US Citizenship required

Responsibilities

  • Assist with configuration alongside upkeep of Workday Core HCM and Onboarding functionality, including business processes and workflows
  • Participate in detailing and analyzing existing business processes within Workday
  • Support system reviews and demonstrations alongside business users to understand requirements and identify gaps
  • Develop and carry out test cases and test scripts; document and communicate testing results
  • Partner with business users to capture functional requirements and help evaluate system capabilities
  • Respond to helpdesk cases by providing guidance, troubleshooting issues, and escalating when needed
  • Translate business needs into basic functional requirements with guidance from senior team members
  • Assist in evaluating change requests and estimating level of effort
  • Support the creation and maintenance of standard and moderately complex Workday reports using Report Writer and Report Designer
