About The Position

The Solution Architect – Workday Integration & Security is responsible for the design, delivery, and governance of secure, scalable Workday integrations and security frameworks. This role serves as the technical authority across integration architecture and Workday security, ensuring solutions are compliant, audit-ready, and aligned with enterprise standards. The role partners closely with HR, IT, InfoSec, and third-party vendors to ensure that all integrations are secure-by-design, properly documented, and operationally sustainable.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years of experience in enterprise applications (Workday preferred)
  • Strong hands-on experience with: Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors
  • REST/SOAP APIs, XSLT
  • Workday Extend, Orchestrate
  • Experience with: Workday HCM modules such as Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Talent, Learning, or Payroll
  • Supporting global or multi-country HCM integrations.
  • Workday implementation, post-production optimization, or tenant transformation programs.
  • Deep understanding of: Workday security framework (domains, roles, ISUs/ISSGs)
  • Secure integration design (encryption, SFTP, certificates)
  • Experience supporting audits and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Proven experience leading complex technical solutions end-to-end

Responsibilities

  • Define and own end-to-end architecture for Workday integrations and security design
  • Establish secure integration patterns, including authentication, encryption, and data transfer mechanisms
  • Design and govern Workday security models (ISUs, ISSGs, domain security, segmented security)
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards
  • Lead full lifecycle delivery of integrations from requirements through deployment
  • Translate business and compliance requirements into scalable technical designs
  • Oversee development using Workday tools (Studio, EIB, APIs, XSLT)
  • Ensure adherence to integration development and security standards
  • Ensure all solutions meet internal security policies and audit requirements (e.g., SOX, data protection standards)
  • Validate secure configuration of integrations (SFTP, APIs, certificates, encryption)
  • Own integration-related audit readiness, documentation, and control evidence
  • Partner with InfoSec and audit teams to address compliance gaps
  • Establish and enforce integration and security standards, naming conventions, and documentation practices
  • Maintain integration inventory, architecture diagrams, and data flow documentation
  • Perform impact analysis for Workday releases and security changes
  • Drive consistency across global teams and vendors
  • Act as technical advisor to HR, IT, and Security stakeholders
  • Partner with vendors (e.g., Deloitte, PwC) to ensure solution quality and compliance
  • Lead architecture reviews, design sessions, and security validations
  • Serve as escalation point for complex integration and security issues
  • Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution for incidents
  • Ensure operational stability and continuous improvement of integrations
  • Define integration and security testing strategies (unit, SIT, UAT, security validation)
  • Ensure validation of data accuracy, integrity, and access controls
  • Oversee defect management and resolution processes
