About The Position

The Workday solutions team is responsible for a secure and efficient Workday experience, working in close-knit, Agile squads that prioritize open communication and collective problem-solving. As a Workday Security Administrator, you will be a strategic partner in the Workday ecosystem, balancing robust security with seamless user access. You will serve as a trusted collaborator to HR, IT, and Compliance teams, ensuring data security while empowering the global workforce. The role involves designing and maintaining role-based security structures, managing the full lifecycle of user access, leading security audits, staying updated on Workday releases for security enhancements, and cultivating a culture of transparency through documentation and guidance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, HR, Business, or a related field—or an equivalent combination of professional experience and continuous learning.
  • 3 to 4+ years of experience with Workday security, including security domains, business process policies, and security group configuration.
  • Experience handling critical and confidential information with the highest level of professional integrity and care.
  • Expertise using data tools like Microsoft Excel to support security audits, analyze trends, and maintain accurate documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Workday Security Administration, including familiarity with core modules (such as HCM, Payroll, or Financials) and relevant professional certifications.
  • Experience supporting regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, GDPR) and audit activities in a global organization, with exposure to specialized features like Prism Analytics or Adaptive Planning.
  • A proactive interest in AI advancements and experience using tools like ChatGPT to streamline analysis, automate tasks, and strengthen security operations.
  • A natural interest in sophisticated problem-solving and a detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting system issues and access requests.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment using Jira, participating in two sprints.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain robust, role-based security structures that prioritize the principle of the least privilege, ensuring systems are both highly secure and user-friendly.
  • Serve as a trusted partner by handling the full lifecycle of user access, providing proactive support to resolve issues and enabling the team to perform their best work securely.
  • Lead regular security audits and collaborate with partners to uphold the highest standards of data privacy, regulatory compliance, and segregation of duties.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by supervising Workday releases and leading security enhancements that keep the environment efficient, scalable, and future-ready.
  • Cultivate a culture of transparency by maintaining clear documentation and guiding multi-functional teams through security best practices and system updates.
