About The Position

The Workday HRIS Lead will oversee aspects of the day-to-day operations of Martin Marietta’s Workday HCM technology platform. The position functions as the Subject Matter Expert or Super User and has deep working knowledge and technical expertise with Workday HCM, Recruiting, Absence Management, and is competent in integrations. The Workday HRIS Lead works heavily with all Workday modules, configuration development, along with Workday Prism, reporting, and dashboards. The position is responsible for evaluating processes, building new capabilities and functionality in both Workday and ServiceNow, and automating HR processes. The Workday HRIS Lead will plan, prioritize, and execute Workday initiatives provided by leadership, with focus on configurations to improve functionality and reporting, while responding to ad hoc requests from all levels of the organization, including Senior Leadership. The Workday HRIS Lead position will lead and mentor others on the HR Operations/HRIS team with a customer service mentality to meet the needs of the various lines of business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • 7+ years of HRIS technical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in the Workday ecosystem, implementing or operating Workday HCM
  • 2+ years of experience developing matrix, composite, simple, and advanced Workday reports
  • 2+ years experience as Workday Absence Management Lead
  • 2+ experience as a ServiceNow development and enhancements team member
  • 2+ years experience as Workday Business Process Administrator
  • 2+ years experience as Workday Migration Lead
  • 3+ years experience in a Workday Release Management testing support role with a minimum of 6 releases supported

Nice To Haves

  • ERP implementation experience
  • Configuration experience with Financial and HR systems
  • Workday HCM Pro Certification strongly preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency in database software
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines and team standards.
  • Able to recommend and make decisions, while balancing business requirements, internal project timelines and technology roadmaps. Embrace innovation by seeking new or contrary ideas/approaches to what has been done in the past.
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Workday (HCM) technology roadmap and support the day-to-day initiatives by owning configuration and support of one-to-many modules.
  • Provide scope, scale, and design of detailed technology solutions for specific HR business needs.
  • Strong understanding of broad Human Resource systems and data flows.
  • Deploy Workday configuration changes. Engineer and successfully test, implement, and transition new Workday configuration and solutions to production.
  • Manage and execute the daily workflow for the HR Operations team, ensuring quality of work and timely completion of HRIS related assignments and initiatives.
  • Serve as the Absence Management product owner.
  • Serve as the Workday Migration Lead.
  • Serve and Business Process Administrator.
  • Serve as a Human Resources process improvement advocate.
  • Work collaboratively with IT and Payroll counterparts on understanding security roles, integrations, and other shared systems within Martin Marietta.
  • Support Workday technology upgrades - support assessing impact of new Workday features, coordinating rollout with project teams and business leaders, as needed.
  • Support Workday Release management testing.
  • Assist with daily HRIS systems operational support serving as the ServiceNow service delivery model leader, including but not limited to Workday.
  • Proactively direct projects, project risks/issues, and implement effective mitigation plans in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Communicate status and key business information effectively across multiple levels of the organization.
  • Advise and support Human Resources Teams on technical issues relating all Martin Marietta HR technology, partnering with stakeholders from across the organization.
  • Act as liaison and subject matter expert between HR, IT, Payroll/Finance, and other departments for one-to-many modules including Absence Management and ServiceNow.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HR technology and HR regulations while monitoring the Workday Roadmap.
  • Serve as mentor to assist in team member development.
