About The Position

This role involves defining project scopes and objectives based on user needs and system requirements, translating business needs into system specifications, and participating in project leadership. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will provide technical project management, lead implementations and upgrades, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. They will also document and drive best practices, and provide guidance and training to less experienced analysts. The position is responsible for the software maintenance, administration, and development lifecycle for Enterprise Applications, including configuration, documentation, and management of Foundational Data Model technical processes. Key responsibilities include testing and planning for Workday quarterly releases, collaborating with Finance functional areas on testing, staying updated on Finance Workday enhancements, and analyzing learnings from peer groups and professional networks. The role also involves assisting in developing training curriculum and conducting training sessions on Workday Report Writer, supporting mass data loads (EIBs), proactively identifying and correcting errors in Workday business processes or data configuration, and troubleshooting complex issues. The analyst will serve as a liaison between Business and Finance, supporting systems and leveraging technology solutions. They will work with functional leads to create functional requirements, assist with configuration activities, lead continuous improvement cycles for business processes, and perform testing to ensure system requirements are met. Management of Adaptive planning security, configuration, and integrations is also a responsibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of relevant experience in the field
  • Excel

  • 7 years of relevant experience including experience formulating and defining systems scopes and objectives

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and define average to large project scopes and objectives.
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve problems, considering software applications capacity, resource availability, operating time and form of desired results.
  • Perform business analysis, working with users to define their needs and documenting those requirements.
  • Collaborate with others to troubleshoot issues with existing systems.
  • Remain current with business or clinical requirements and needs, based upon future industry trends and changes, and understand the implications for existing technology.
  • Provide mentorship to less senior team members and act as a role model for customer service excellence.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the software maintenance, administration, and development lifecycle in support of the Organization’s Enterprise Applications.
  • Responsible for the configuration, documentation, and management of all Foundational Data Model technical processes.
  • Responsible for testing and planning of Workday quarterly releases.
  • Work with and collaborate with Finance functional areas for Workday testing of new releases, including all areas under Finance (General Ledger, Expense, AP, etc.).
  • Keep up to date on Finance Workday related system enhancements and attend trainings and webinars to acquire additional knowledge.
  • Analyze, understand, and share learnings from peer groups, Workday Community, and professional networks to build strong knowledge of the product.
  • Assist in developing training curriculum and conduct formal and informal training sessions regarding Finance System Workday Report Writer.
  • Create specific functionality reports and dashboards on weekly, quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc basis.
  • Support mass data loads in Workday (EIBs).
  • Proactively identify and/or correct errors in Workday business processes or data configuration.
  • Assist in troubleshooting of complex processes, application, and functional issues.
  • Serve as a liaison between Business and Finance to provide systems support and analysis and to leverage technology solutions to meet the needs of the Finance and all associated information system users.
  • Work with functional leads to create functional requirements and assist business analyst with configuration activities.
  • Lead continuous improvement cycles of existing and new business processes for Finance.
  • Perform testing and analysis to ensure the system meets or exceeds customer requirements.
  • Manage Adaptive planning security, configuration, and integrations.
