About The Position

Unity is seeking a Workday Finance Business Analyst to join their Enterprise Systems team, acting as a key partner to the Finance organization. This role involves daily configuration, support, and continuous improvement of Workday Financials. The analyst will be the primary point of escalation for Finance team requests and will drive strategic system initiatives aligned with Unity's business priorities. This is a dual-impact role requiring both technical problem-solving and project contribution, emphasizing strong relationships with Finance stakeholders, clear communication of technical solutions, and a commitment to system reliability and quality.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Workday Financials configuration and support experience in a business analyst or functional analyst capacity.
  • Deep working knowledge of one or more Workday Financial Management modules, with the ability to configure business processes, validation rules, condition rules, and security independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to support day-to-day Finance operations while simultaneously contributing to project-based work and strategic initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills — you can navigate competing priorities, manage expectations across Finance and IT, and communicate clearly at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of core finance and accounting concepts (GAAP, month-end close, AP/AR workflows, expense management) and how they translate to Workday configuration.
  • Sufficient knowledge of English to have professional verbal and written exchanges in this language.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting Workday in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning and its relationship to the Financials module.
  • Exposure to Workday Prism Analytics or Workday Reporting (composite reports, matrix reports, calculated fields).
  • Experience with NetSuite, RevPro, Blackline, or other Finance-adjacent applications that integrate with Workday.
  • Prior experience supporting a Finance team through a Workday optimization or module expansion project.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Workday Financials administrator and day-to-day support contact for the Finance team, triaging and resolving configuration issues, user requests, and system inquiries with a high degree of responsiveness and quality.
  • Diagnose and resolve Workday Financials configuration issues across modules, including Financial Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, Procurement, and/or Banking & Settlement.
  • Partner with Finance stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional design specifications and Workday configuration solutions.
  • Support and deliver enhancements, new feature rollouts, and process improvements in Workday Financials, from requirements through testing and change management.
  • Participate in Workday semi-annual release cycles — reviewing release notes, assessing functional impact, coordinating user acceptance testing, and managing deployment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation, including configuration guides, business process flows, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with the broader Enterprise Systems team on cross-functional initiatives involving Workday HCM, Adaptive Planning, Integrations, and third-party connected systems.
  • Work with Finance leadership to support strategic priorities such as process automation, reporting improvements, and scalability initiatives tied to company growth.
  • Act as a bridge between Finance and IT, ensuring system changes are delivered with appropriate controls, testing rigor, and minimal disruption to financial operations.
  • Manage support tickets and project tasks through a defined intake and prioritization process, communicating status and expectations proactively to stakeholders.
