About The Position

Make a difference. Be happy. Grow your career. The Role As an Engagement Manager, you will ensure the successful implementation of the Workday products for Nordic’s healthcare client base. The Engagement Manager, through building key relationships with the client executive leadership and implementation team(s), will drive the full life cycle of implementations from planning through post go-live. In addition, you will be involved in the development of several key project deliverables (e.g., charter, project/staffing plan, issue logs, project status reporting, etc.) and work with the Client PM to resolve issues that stand in the way of project success.

Requirements

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience required
  • Active Workday Engagement Manager Certification required
  • Demonstrable experience (5+ years) of project managing Medium and/or Large Enterprise engagements, preferably within the Healthcare industry
  • Prior consulting experience (5+ years) either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company
  • Experience implementing (5+ years) Workday
  • Previous experience with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, etc).
  • Experience in project management incorporating financial business processes and financial reporting
  • Successful candidates have a balance of functional (business) and technical experience
  • Demonstrated executive presence, including outstanding communication skills, confidence, and the ability to inspire and influence others
  • Strong influencing skills, including persuasive communication and the ability to drive consensus and effectively collaborate with stakeholders
  • Proven ability to effectively lead service delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction through streamlined processes, efficient resource allocation, and a focus on meeting expectations
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, organize, and effectively handle workload to meet scheduled completion dates and enhance productivity
  • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization, as well as with diverse candidates, consultants, and client bases
  • Able to balance urgent, short-term needs with strategic, long-term priorities
  • Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims

Nice To Haves

  • Business development experience preferred
  • Previous service sales experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent, professional client service at all times, tailoring consulting approach to the type of engagement and aligning services with the goals of the company
  • Project manage one or more Workday product implementations concurrently
  • Participate in the sales cycle when requested to gather requirements, formulate delivery approach and develop a proposal/SOW
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to resources working on implementations
  • Ensure projects are properly planned and staffed
  • Develop Nordic Workday deployment methodology, tools, templates, and collateral
  • Actively partner with other members of the Nordic Workday team to create new offerings, services, and go-to-market strategies
  • Manage and measure project performance
  • Monitor overarching project health; identify, mitigate, or escalate issues as needed
  • Work with the client PM to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or timeframes
  • Present at Executive Steering Committee meetings
  • Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday best practices
  • Act as liaison for delivery when interacting with sales and/or development
  • Identify opportunities to position other service offerings
  • Ensure the client can serve as a reference upon completing their implementation
  • Execute change orders if work falls outside the scope of the SOW
  • Lead projects with a goal of delivering on time, on budget, and with great outcomes
  • Respond to client requests in a professional manner using established methods and escalation processes, and documenting and retaining records of all meetings and/or education sessions
  • Work on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist in other initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested
