About The Position

Moog’s HR Technology team is seeking a strategic and hands-on Workday Configuration Architect to lead the design, configuration, and optimization of our Workday platform. You will serve as the functional and technical architect across Workday modules, partnering with HR, IT, and business leaders to deliver scalable solutions that enhance the employee experience and enable organizational growth. You will be responsible for driving configuration strategies across workstreams and identifying best practices to further enhance the employee experience across a global HR Technology landscape. You will develop recommendations and implement business processes that will improve the overall functionality from hire to retire. You will serve as a champion for change management activities with the communications team and global leaders across the organization to define training and communication solutions. You will also partner with the integrations team to assess the best approach to design business processes that touch systems outside of the Workday architecture.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Workday configuration; at least (7) years’ experience.
  • Proven ability to lead complex global Workday configuration initiatives that span multiple workstreams such as onboarding, leave processes, and relocation.
  • Strong understanding of the Workday security model to partner with the security lead, and to uncover impacts on business process decisions and determine solutions.
  • The demonstrated business acumen to interact with all levels of leadership and stakeholders across functions and operating groups.
  • Experience with advanced Workday report writing.
  • Experience interacting with IT and integrations teams.
  • Must live local to the Buffalo, NY area to work onsite.

Nice To Haves

  • Over seven (7) years of advanced Workday configuration experience across multiple HR modules.
  • Deep expertise in Workday configuration with Workday Pro or Workday Certifications.
  • Experience with the Workday release process.
  • Global support in an organization with 10,000+ employees.
  • Previous role supporting an organization in the manufacturing industry.
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading a Workday configuration team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and define configuration standards and documentation across the Workday team.
  • Architect end-to-end Workday configuration across core modules.
  • Lead complex configuration initiatives, enhancements, and global deployments.
  • Provide mentoring to Workday Analysts and Workday Administrators.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing configurations and processes.
  • Drive Workday enhancement testing and strategy.
  • Collaborate with integrations and security team members.
  • Ensure data integrity and configuration sustainability.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to junior members of the team.
