About The Position

The Wy’East work study role involves supporting the Wy’East Nursing Pathway program. Responsibilities include data entry, managing the Wy’East nursing email, updating student records, and providing customer service via email, phone, and in-person. The role may involve incidental exposure to protected student information (FERPA), requiring completion of FERPA training and signing a confidentiality agreement. Students will be closely supervised. The position also includes coordinating campus tours, preparing marketing materials, maintaining curriculum records, assisting with recruitment events, and managing social media content for the Wy’East Nursing channels. This includes creating and curating content, drafting posts, brainstorming strategies, taking photos/videos, managing a content calendar, and representing the student experience on social media. The role may require occasional evenings and weekends for content gathering.

Requirements

  • An OHSU Undergraduate Program (minimum 6 credit hours), OR PSU Undergraduate Program
  • Computer and software experience with includes MS Word, Excel, e-mail, web-site search tools and internet skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information and maintain privacy.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Creativity and familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) and basic content creation.
  • Have access to mobile device to take photos and videos and ability to upload materials to OneDrive for Admissions Communications Manager to access.
  • Previous experience in admissions or social media is a plus but not required.
  • General office experience
  • Experience working or volunteering within Native American communities
  • High level of organization and prioritization skills, team oriented, strong public relations and customer service skills, ability to work cooperatively with academic, unclassified management and classified personnel, strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, experience creating web content

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data entry, managing Wy’East nursing email account, and updating student records.
  • Provide customer service via email, phone, and in-person, answering questions about Wy’East Nursing pathway.
  • Help coordinate campus tours and information sessions for prospective students.
  • Assist in preparing Wy’East marketing materials.
  • Help maintain and organize Wy’East Nursing curriculum and other administrative duties as specified related to faculty assistance.
  • Support the Wy’East Nursing team during recruitment events, such as information sessions or application workshops.
  • Create and curate content for the Wy’East Nursing social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
  • Assist in drafting posts.
  • Brainstorm content and strategies to increase engagement.
  • Take photos and videos to share with OHSU and NNACoE social media accounts.
  • Manage the content calendar and ensure regular posting.
  • Coordinate with other nursing students to represent the “student experience” on social channels.
  • Represent campus at events/activities to gather photo and video content (may include occasional evenings and weekends).
