About The Position
Temporary hourly-intermittent Work Study Student Assistant position in Communication Studies. This position is available on or after November 1, 2026, and ending on or before May 21, 2027. There is a possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
Requirements
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
- Satisfactory completion of a background check (which includes checks of employment records, education records, criminal records, civil records; and may include motor vehicle records, professional licenses, and sex offender registries, as position requires) is required for employment.
- Verification of identity and eligibility to work in the United States and completion of the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.

Responsibilities
- Assist in providing advice and feedback for students in Public Speaking.
- Assist with various services offered through the department.
- Assist in organizing, outlining, and presenting of on or off-campus speakers.
- Assist in reviewing audio and video recordings with student speakers directly.
- Other duties as assigned.
