The School of Engineering is seeking qualified undergraduate students for the role of SOE Student Experience Coordinator. This work-study position offers opportunities to develop transferable skills including written and verbal communication, project management, and program development, implementation, and evaluation. The Coordinator will support current and prospective student learning, professional development, and mentorship initiatives, while contributing to the School’s outreach and promotion of STEAM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) at UBC Okanagan. The School of Engineering is seeking qualified undergraduate student applicants for the position of School of Engineering (SOE) Student Experience Coordinator. This work study position will support the enhancement and growth in the following two portfolio areas: 1) Bachelor of Applied Science Undergraduate Student Experience and 2) Prospective Student Experience. Undergraduate Student Experience: The primary role of this work study position is to assist with the development, coordination, marketing, implementation, and evaluation of experiential learning programs and professional development initiatives within the School of Engineering. This role includes program coordination, networking and collaboration, and high-level communication with a variety of stakeholders. Prospective Student Experience: The students will support the design, curriculum planning, logistics, promotion, and organization of recruitment and outreach events for prospective students in Grade 8-12. They will act as an ambassador to young students and UBC prospective students. Leveraging prior knowledge and learning new skills, the students will be encouraged to influence the direction of the recruitment and outreach events portfolio.
