About The Position

Lucas Tree Experts, a leader in the tree care industry, is looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Work Planner. This is a full time, year-round, outdoor, physical labor opportunity. Primary duties include obtaining necessary permission from and supplying proper notification to homeowners before beginning project work. The ideal candidate will be punctual and reliable with strong communication, time-management and organizational skills, familiarity with tree trimming and removal operations, as well as basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Lucas Tree Experts offers paid, hands-on, on-the-job training, paid educational courses for advancement in the industry. Requirements

  • Must be organized and punctual.
  • Must be willing and able to travel.
  • Must be able to accept responsibility and demonstrate ability to work independently.
  • Must be professional in communications and appearance.
  • Must be able to work 40 hours per week and overtime as required.
  • Must be 18 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED/or equivalent.
  • Must have a current and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to work outside in various types of weather.
  • Must pass the Electrical Hazards Awareness Program (EHAP) within 30 days of date of hire.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of tree trimming and removal operations.
  • Must be willing and able to obtain, and maintain licenses & certifications as required by the position in order to grow your career (Paid for by Lucas Tree Experts).
  • Must be able to successfully complete a post offer physical & drug screen as well as a background and motor vehicle check.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the tree industry or utility planning and permissions preferred.
  • Familiarity with tree trimming and removal operations.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring good public relations and a positive company image at all times.
  • Coordinating with property owner's, utility customers, and the operations of the company.
  • Making necessary contacts with utility customer representatives to ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Ensuring compliance with established safety policies and procedures.
  • Obtaining necessary permission from and supplying proper notification to homeowners before beginning project work.
