About The Position

Amentum, a global leader in critical mission support, engineering, technology, and national security solutions, is seeking an Auto and BSVE Controller to support a government contract based in Kings Bay, Georgia. The Auto and BSVE Controller is responsible for coordinating, planning, and monitoring maintenance and repair activities to ensure timely and efficient completion of all assigned work for the Drydock Mechanic, Fixed WHE, Fixed MHE, Fixed MOB WHE, Bus Transportation, Bus/Taxi, Company equipment, Heavy equipment, and the Light equipment shops. This role ensures materials, labor, and resources are properly aligned with project requirements, and that work is executed according to contractual deadlines, safety standards, and customer expectations. The Work Scheduler serves as a key communication point between customers, shops, dispatch/scheduling teams, and project leadership to maintain accurate workflow, minimize downtime, and support overall operational performance. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment while managing multiple priorities. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to interpret maintenance requirements, and proficiency with scheduling tools and databases such as MAXIMO.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have two (2+) plus years of experience supporting automotive, fleet, or equipment maintenance operations, including light-duty vehicles, heavy equipment, utility vehicles, grounds/support equipment, or specialty fleet assets.
  • Experience processing parts/material requests, checking availability, tracking delivery times, and aligning material readiness with scheduled work.
  • Understanding of preventive maintenance cycles, such as oil changes, PM inspections, tire services, brake checks, and manufacturer‑recommended upkeep.
  • Computer proficiency in Windows; strong Excel skills preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to pass background check/drug screening, and U.S. Citizenship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in facilities or preventive maintenance environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills and prior use of MAXIMO or comparable systems.
  • Experience with MAXIMO or similar maintenance systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule, track, and expedite maintenance work.
  • Process material requests and ensure materials are available.
  • Coordinate access, priorities, and job requirements with customers and trade shops.
  • Update work status and maintain accurate records in scheduling databases.
  • Provide workload, backlog, and performance reports to management.
  • Support process improvements that enhance planning and scheduling efficiency.
  • Develop, organize, and process outages required for maintenance being performed.
  • Cross training with other trades.
