About The Position

The purpose of this role is to keep the Smith Center website updated, performing well, and continuously improving and to contribute to Smith Center work. This position will expand experience in professional work, both web design and website maintenance as well we a professional work setting. Employers highly value evidence of teamwork and collaboration. NOTE: Employment sponsorship is not available for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

• Strong skills in WordPress
• Training another student staff in WordPress
• Strong skills in web design principles
• Strong ability to collaborate with others as part of a team
• Strong sense of ownership over responsibilities
• Currently authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Updating the Smith Center website with new content as provided and fixing any website issues
• Making continuous improvements in the website
• Supporting the lead researcher, including occasionally interviewing faculty
• Collaborating with two other student worker staff with Smith Center responsibilities, including picking up lunches
• Additional work as assigned by the Director
