WordPress Developer / Engineer (Ref #: 1112185)

Estrada Consultingorporated•Sacramento, CA

About The Position

The client seeks a consultant to provide ongoing management of SHRA’s public-facing WordPress website and its hosting. The site must remain on WordPress and retain its current look and feel unless the client approves a change. The contractor will keep the site up to date, secure, available, and accessible, while providing ongoing support to client personnel. The role includes safely maintaining WordPress core, themes, and plugins; providing scheduled backups and verified restore testing; monitoring uptime against a 99.9% monthly target, excluding announced maintenance; and administering security controls, user reviews, and incident response. Updates must preserve WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, with accessibility monitoring and reporting, and client approval is required before themes or plugins are added, replaced, or removed. The contractor will assist staff with page edits, forms, menus, media, and documents, and track and resolve reported problems. They will establish and report against an SLA, provide scheduled reports on site operations and accessibility, and propose a block of support hours, an hourly rate for additional work, and an approach to tracking, reporting, and billing hours. The contractor must describe in its proposal how it will deliver the required maintenance, security, accessibility, and staff support.

  • Experience with content management systems, electronic documents, forms, multimedia, and third-party integrations.

  • Availability and capacity of personnel and technical resources to perform the work.
  • The proposal must describe how the team will manage updates without disruption, ensure security compliance, maintain accessibility standards, assist client staff, and meet the scope requirements.
  • The firm must have a valid Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and maintain active registration in SAM.gov.
