Woodyard Loader Operator - Graveyard Shift
About The Position
The Woodyard Loader Operator is responsible for raw material mixing and intake processes. This includes mixing material per specification to ensure production is set up for upcoming days, ensuring proper blend and moisture content. The operator will receive incoming loads of raw materials, separate them by species, and inspect their quality against standards, notifying plant leadership of any defects. They will load the infeed bin according to the production schedule, conduct loader inspections, and perform necessary maintenance. Effective communication with co-workers regarding workflow status is also a key part of the role, along with other accountabilities as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- One to two years loader operation experience in an industrial setting highly preferred.
- Good eye, hand and foot coordination.
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and multi-task.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs on a repetitive basis and stand and sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to climb up and down stairs to get in and out of loader with no fear of confined spaces or heights.
- Ability to do simple math calculations, use basic tools, and exhibit mechanical aptitude when conducting loader maintenance.
