About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced Woodlands Supervisor for our Southern Interior Woodlands Division. The Southern Interior Woodlands Team manages Tolko's tenure and fibre supply in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, covering an area of 953,447 hectares. We are dedicated to sustaining these areas to the benefit of all who live and work there.

Requirements

• 5+ years related industry experience.
• Experience in one or more of: Harvesting or Roads in the BC Interior or; Timber Development and Permitting in BC or; First Nations Collaboration and Partnership.
• A proven commitment to safety.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to perform fieldwork.
• A University Degree or Technical Diploma in Forestry.
• An active registrant with the Forest Professionals British Columbia.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee field personnel while maintaining safety standards.
• Interact with various teams and build strong relationships with the people you work with.
• Support Tolko’s objectives for safety, environment, production, cost and quality.
• Perform work both in office and in the field.
• Be given the opportunity to take on roles within Harvesting or Roads.
• Travel periodically across the southern interior of BC as duties may span across the communities of Kamloops and Vernon.
